The Beginning
You are not here by accident.
God created you on purpose.
And He created you to know Him;
not just know about Him.
You can know a whole lot about social media influencers, Hollywood movie stars, famous music and sport superstars, without ever even meeting them.
You can also know a lot about God without ever meeting Him.
The Divorce
The 10 commandments are not a ladder given to us to try to climb up to God on; they are a mirror into our heart, soul and mind and show us that we ‘all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.’
Even if we were to obey all of God’s laws, yet ‘disobey just once, we are guilty of breaking them all’
The Solution
God cannot ignore our sin. Instead, God sent his Son to the cross, where all your sin was placed on Jesus. He literally died in your place; for you.
‘All of us, like sheep, have gone astray; each has turned to our own way; and the Lord has placed on Him the sin of us all’
The Empty Room
All the great religious leaders have died. They are all still dead today..
This is what sets Jesus apart.
On the third day after Jesus died on the cross for our sin, God raised Jesus up from death and ‘declared Him to be the Son of God with power, by His resurrection from the dead’
The Invitation
We cannot earn, or deserve, God's forgiveness by our best religious efforts; we can only experience it by receiving His Son.
If you were ill, and close to death, and the doctors offered you medicine, at no cost to you, that will immediately and completely cure your illness, you must still receive it.
The Call
‘For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’
Almighty God, I know that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. Thank You that You love me and sent Jesus to die for my sins. Forgive me and free me from my sin. I ask in Jesus’ name.
